Nine out of ten “the lock does not fit” calls are not product faults. They are door-preparation mismatches that could have been caught from a photograph.
Number 1: the body standard
6068 for a full-automatic body, 3585 for a multi-point aluminium door, and a 111 × 53 × 25 cylinder for retrofit. Wrong body, wrong order.
Number 2: the door thickness
Below 40 mm, most push-pull bodies will not clear the frame. Measure at the lock position, not at the edge.
Number 3: the handle direction
Left-hand and right-hand doors need the handle orientation set before commissioning, or the anti-pinch function works against the user.
The photograph that saves a shipment
Ask the installer for one photo: door edge, lock position, frame. From it you can confirm the body, the thickness and the handing in a single glance.
Takeaway
Measure twice at the door, not twice at the warehouse.
