The sensor that carries most of the volume. A semiconductor sensor reads the ridge pattern rather than an image of it — the difference between a dry winter finger and a failure.
Palm vein biometrics — InspirePulse technology
Fingerprints wear out: cleaners, farmers, bricklayers and anyone over 65 with thin skin. Palm vein reads haemoglobin under the surface, so dust, dryness and a thin glove do not interfere.
